Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) includes access to software updates (via Live Web Update), and free software upgrade to new software releases plus e-mail or telephone technical support.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CONTRACT
The software will automatically notify the user 30 days prior to expiration.
An Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) includes all software updates, revisions, and etc. as well as unlimited e-mail technical support. Further, requests for enhancements are welcomed and may be implemented without additional charge (at CDS’ discretion). In addition, AMC includes Live Web Update, which allows all users with current AMC to check for and automatically download and install updates, enhancements, etc. during the AMC term.
If AMC expires, you will no longer be entitled to any updates or upgrades and must pay a penalty for AMC reinstatement. Live Web Update will no longer be available, nor will technical support. A request to upgrade software after contract expiration will not be honored until you reinstate your AMC contract. In such cases, a lapsed maintenance penalty charge applies. It is the customer’s responsibility to renew AMC prior to its annual expiration date. We highly recommend that an Annual Maintenance Contract be maintained to insure receiving the latest software and full technical support. EPD for Windows Design Suites, ACAM and BWX
Our AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) for our Windows products rate is 15% for ‘Purchased product(s) as a whole’ at time of first purchase which includes any 3rd party EDA add-on modules or 5% if Rental for 30 Days.
EPD for AutoCAD Design Suites and GerbARX
AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) is an annual subscription and is calculated based on the current retail price of the software license.
Notification dialog that appears in software 30 days prior to expiration:
If the License is Expiring dialog boxes appears, it will show the number of days until the CDS.PWD license file will expire or the Network license. This expiration date is the anniversary date of when the software was purchased.
You may pick the RENEW LATER button to continue using the software. Please note the number of days left in the dialog box "EPD License Expires in XX Days"
If you have an e-mail client setup on the computer and it is currently opened, Pick the RENEW NOW button to fill out a request form and submit a request. The request will be sent to your local sales manager and they will contact you to provide a renewal quote.
